Right now, New York State law treats a one-person bodega and a 99-employee company as the exact same size business. Same rules, same fines, same everything. I would introduce a legislation to create a real microbusiness category, for businesses with 10 employees or fewer, with targeted grants and support. Our smallest businesses deserve rules that actually fit them!

Today I attended a press conference addressing the horrific stabbing attacks targeting Asian and Jewish men on the Upper East Side.

Violence driven by hate has no place in our city. When one community is targeted, every community is affected. Hatred against one is hatred against all.

I believe true leadership means standing together, speaking out against hatred in all its forms, and leading with love, respect, and unity—not division. That is how we build safer neighborhoods, stronger communities, and a better future for New York City.

My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by these senseless acts. We must continue to stand together against hate.
